DAY 365 - 365 !!! ONE ONCE A DAY!!!!!!!!

Well I have done it - I have posted to this blog every day for the last 365 days!!! I have not ever done anything other than hygiene everyday for a year - Well not totally true I am sure I have kissed my wife at least once a day for year in a row as least one year out of the last 16 1/2 years --

Thanks you for all of those that took time to look at my chillen picks and enjoy my journey over the last year to remind myself to take time every day to just chill out and relax for life is short and you just never know when you Journey will end :) ---

I will be starting a NEW one a day Project on July 1st -- it will be a blog called "A Handshake A Day" I will shake a hand with someone every day and ask them the following question - What one thing have you learned that you like to tell the world? ---

Day 364 -- Chillen a Lego Warriors

Today is the last day before the end of the this one year journey come to the end -- I am nursing my wife sickness so getting chillen pick was little odd but as we are watching a Fraiser marathon I was playing with the the little lego guys mt son left around - so chillen I did --

Day 363 - Chillen at School Art Show

Tonight I got to spend time with my wife and daughter at her 5th grade Art show - we could chill with her art because hers was hanging and there was no room to chill --- BUt we did find the coolest 2nd grade mini city to chill with --- and I posted the cutest little chickens the little one 1st graders made -- they could have sold them --

Day 362 - Chillen and smelling the Roses

Well is there any better description of chillen then taking time to smell a ROSE!!! that is about all I can say for today - other then TAKE TIME TO SMELL A ROSE - unless u have allergies of course then just take time to look at them LOL

Day 361- Chillen With Family Supper

In a day of lost time and the last art of family suppers I am very proud of my family - we sit down and eat together at least 6 nights a week - I will not lie and say we talk about huge things over supper but I we talk and joke and that is the most important things.. My son is 14 and on his way to adult hood way to fast... and my girl is 11 going on 30 -- I am holding on to these days very tightly --- :)

Day 360 - Chillen with a Chick Flick

Today after we BBQ'ed some chicken made corn on the cob my wife wanted to watch Anne of Green Gables - NOW me being the AWESOME husband that I am sat and watched this CHICK FLICK -- NOW NO ONE BETTER tell her that I think this is one of the best movies made!! I have my guy rep to protect --  The actors the story line the dialog all combine to make it a very intellectually enjoyable movie even for a chick flick ;) ---  Oh and there is the part that I introduced this to her years age but still a CHICK FLICK -- LOL -

Day 359 - Chillen and OurPallet Garden

Ok this one shows me chillen looking at our new urban pallet garden - this is a cool idea that we snagged off the internet - we took three (Free) wooden pallets - $4 in plastic sheeting under it to control weeds - 300lbs of well dirt/poo mix ($50) and garden plants ($50) - so fro just over $100 we are going organic -- I thinks we are going to feed the local rabbit population this year instead of the wood ones at my friends home LOL -

Day 358 - Chillen in celebration

We spent the evening with my in-Laws and like so many other BBQ'ed and enjoyed the weekend  - but my father in-law and I took time to Wii bowl a few games first one I won then he pulled his second 300 and left me in the dust -- but I had to celebrate with him so here is a celebratory chillen pic - Well done DAD! in case you can not see it is a 300 and 175 --

Day 357 - Chillen and Purple Fuzzies

Today is a TGIF 100% - I have had tiring week but this one was a top 100 LOL -- I just went on the back deck and sat and enjoyed a few min chillen with my daughter fuzzy flowers - NOPE I ahve no idea what they are called -- LOL

Day 356 - Chillen in parking garage

Well today I got to sit and chill in a parking garage center in Flint while I wait for --well people to come out of a place -- all secret stuff you know--- LOL -- anyway got to chill for about 10 minutes so grabbed a picture then my phone started going off with problems but hey I got my chillen time...

Day 355 - Chillen on Front Porch

ok tonight after a rather long day my daughter had a singing lesson - the nice thing bout the house that she goes to is they have this very nice front porch to "wait" in./on - I was sitting there listening to my Itouch and watching the trees and almost dozing off -- this was a nice 30 mins of chillen ---

Day 354 chillen and Americas Got Talent

Ok I do not watch a lot of TV but we do like to watch Americas Got Talent - so here is me chillen with the judges of on AGT = I am not sure how normal this show is but anyway - I am not even sure I really like the show but it is very different from most other things -- one weakness is that they add Howard Stern this years but still kinda a fun show...

Day 353 -- chillen @ at Oncologist

Well - It may seem very unlikely that one can chill at the oncologist office - BUT once you hear from the nurse that your scans are CLEAR and there is no sign of cancer MY friends YOU can CHILL ANYPLACE!!! Almost a year no I have been journeying  on this path of chillen so here is why this all started - remember that you are only given so long and you need to chill every day for a few minutes...

Day 352 - Chillen and Cat-nip

Only - 13 MORE DAYS!!!!!! -- tonight I gave our kittens some Cat Nip and watched them flip and fight and meow and roll and roll.... LOL it is a good way to chill you get to laugh and smile and the cats seem to enjoy them selves - OK OK -- I know there are people that say it is a mean thing but we only give them a little and very rare occasions so no cats were harmed in the making of this chillen pic - these cats are SO spoiled I have said if reincarnation is real I want to come back as a pampered house cat LOL  --

Day 351 chillen at Yardsale

Today we spent the day sitting in garage trying to sell a bunch of odds and ends that we dug out of the basement - what we ended up doing is sitting and chillen all day for a whole $20 in sales - but I can say that  all we really did was sit and chat and CHILL all day --

Day 350 Chillen @ Penalty Box (hic)

Today thanks to tight budgeting we are able to go out to eat as a family - We went to the Penalty Box it is a sports bar/grill - it has TV's on all over the place with sports going on - the food is average but it was different place to go - you can only eat pizza so often - Now in the chillen pic is a good evaluation of what the place looks like after that 5 beer - LOL - I did have a Samuel Adam's Summer Ale - it was good but did not get my vision like the camera but I suppose those there at 1am it would be similar..

Day 349 - chillen and Home Made Pizza

Well tonight my wife with the help of my son - made Home made Pizza - Normally I do not like home pizza but they really did a good job so chillen is a tribute to a dinner that was well done!

Day 348 - Chillen and My Daisy

Ok the other day I posted me chillen at the huge flower greenhouse - well here is one of the flowers - I love Daises I have posted one sort of like this last year but this color of daises I have never seen before - so now it is on our back porch on the table where this whole journey began -- I only 18 days left... what am I going to do??? and see my feet do not stink it is still in perfect shape LOL

Day 347 - Chillen in Outdoor Office

Well one thing that is good about my job is that one nice days I get to sit at any park that I chose and open up an office. Today was one of those days - sitting working on the computer and working on a chore chart for another client. Birds, flowers, grass, and sun -- nice ---

Day 346 - chillen and Gizmo

I was out walking while my son had his football practice and on the third lap I took break at a picnic table and could not resist today's pick - I love the mane Gizmo - it is just a fun name to say - GIZMO - I don't really know why but it is just fun! So it really got me to chill and smile seeing as this was on a beat up old jeep just made it more fun -- :) 

Day 345 - Chillen simple style

Today is Mothers day - we went out for lunch and ice cream then I went to church gathering - just a very nice day to do nothing really hard in fact it was really a CHILLEN type of day -- so tonight a few  minutes on the back porch to enjoy the night air and just chit-chat with the mother of my children - who by the way is totally awesome at being a mom!!!

Day 344 - Chillen in Flower Center

Today I took my lovely wife to what has to be one of the largest green houses I have ever seen - the name is Bordine's  near Flint - This place has more flowers then I have ever seen in my life - The thing I have noticed as I get older the more I enjoy walking around and looking at the various flowers and colors - I can enjoy the shade and fine details that Maker has designed in each flower and each type of flower -- Well I guess this is a good thing but I have to say it is enjoyable and as Tom Wilson says - I am over 40 I don't care --

Day 343 - Chillen and Weather Station

Today was a fantastic day in MI - sun out and about 75 degrees -- It was nothing short of awesome! got out of work early and took son fishing - Then on the way out I saw this weather data station - I am not sure who set it up or where the data goes but I know it is there!!!

Day 342 - Chillen and Pot-Hole

The one thing that is a guarantee in Mi - and that is Pot Holes -  As we are walking tonight at sunset I thought you know I would be amiss if I took a year of pictures in MI and not have a pot hole - they have cost me a lot of money over the years in tires, front end alignment and shocks --- SO here is to classic MI pot holes --

Day 341 - Chillen and Rainbow

Tonight on the way out of the store we looked up and there it was a full arch Rainbow - they are such amazing things - Of course my mind went to the bible that says god placed a rainbow in the heavens for a reminder that He would never flood the earth again out of anger... Well I wonder -- looking at mankind if He ever thought ME AND MY BIG MOUTH --- LOL

Day 340 - Chillen on the Line

Well tonight's chillen pic is me walking around the parking lot just chillen and waiting for my son to finish football practice - This is a true chillen pic I was not really thinking about anything and I was just enjoying the nice temp outside so I look down and I see that I am right on the line - I love the unconscious psychological metaphor that I can draw from this but what would ruin a good chillen pic --

Day 339 - chillen and Jenga

Today my head cold is starting to let up so tonight we sat around and played Jenga - of course this has a twist to it - on each block is written a word or a question related to family or personal life. We played as a family and it really helps with working on family communication and goal with kids that may not want to talk about things like anger control and family concerns - it was a big hit even with my family --

Day 338 - chillen and Studying

Well I know that a lot of people might not be able to chill while studying for a major test but I know that I am very odd -- I have a head cold but I am studying anyway - I will only have to reread the stuff I read three more times but it I will have to do that anyway... LOL

Day 337 - Chillen and Art

One thing about being married to a professional artist is that when you have a head cold and have to lay on the couch you have a lot of nice art to chill with the chills with..

Day 335 - Chiilen and Facebook word game

Well in days gone by people use to sit around a board with wooden letters and interact face to face and play a game that stimulated the mind and created interpersonal relationships - NOW we click and drag and play with out ever actually talking or communicating - JUST think no more germs can be spread by touching others letters - No more have to wonder if a word is real the computer tell you if it is OK - No more interpersonal relationship stresses just a mindless screen that has noway of showing love or laughter or real friendshipppppp...... I NEED AN HUMAN HUG I AM FEELING LONELY.......... LOL

Day 334 - chillen and Dirty Jobs

Me and the family sat around watching dirty jobs - All I can say is this show makes me very glad to have my job LOL --

Day 333 - Semi (truck) - Chillen

Well today I was again stuck with about an hour between clients and today I found my self sitting in a Meijer parking lot working on my computer and talking to a client that had their son melting down... After that call I set there looking out over the back side of the parking lot and noticed the Semi Truck just parked in front of me - I may have been a trucker taking a nap or just eating at the food places near by but I decided that I needed to chill with the Truck - So I hop out sit on the hood and chill ---

Day 332 - chillen and Cash Cow

Tonight I needed to have a chillen pic but truth be told I have not had a very chilled out day - my anxiety has been rather hi and this week or I should say going to be for the month it is not going to be easy to month to chill - I have a 3yr CT scan this week to see -- no PROVE - that I am still cancer free! (positive thoughts!) of course no results until around the 21st....

So tonight I looked about an thought what can I share chill with the will at least bring a smile to me and maybe to you - Then I saw it the CASH COW!!! This little cow jar thing has become the location for our loose change and a few bills here and there - I like our Cash Cow it add more flare to life then a change bottle -- well here is to chillen or at least tying for the rest of the month!!!

Day 331 - Chillen and Baskets

You know there are men out there that say laundry is a woman's job - When I was a boy that is what I was taught the wife/mom does it all wash, cook, clean do it all --- Well I have to tell you that is not a very sensible way of living guys! -- You wear the clothes you dirty them why not help wash, dry and fold them? -- See I really think that if men would understand that sharing household chores was not only helpful, and loving but it makes everything in a relationship better -- meaning of course if your lady feels appreciated she will feel more relaxed and ummmm loving -- so here is to chillen with empty baskets that I folded and put away --- all around good thing :)

Day 330 - chillen and Naked House

TOdays chillen pic really is not that chillen to start but it is  as the picture shows - We had a carpet cleaner come in and clean the house carpets - they were dirty after renting for more than 2yrs - Now I suppse the landlord should have had it done or offered to split the cost but we are the type of renters that think since we live at the house we want to keep it up so sometime the Landlord gets off a little easy... Oh well good seed, karma, or deeds come back to you right? well here is the house Stipped naked wet and clean --LOL

day 329 - chillen and Notre Dame

well not to much to report today but I am sitting at the computer and completely doing nothing -- so basically in the heart of chillen land -- LOL -- anyway -- I looked down and saw this print of Notre Dame I am going to sell on EBay and thought it would make an interesting chillen pic for today :)

Day #328 Chillen and Not Meat

Our family has been really working to get life under control in finances - So as part of that we have started to plan supper meals out for two weeks and buy for them - It has been a real $ saver - this week we included a no meat taco night - My wife researched how to do this - we bought Tofu and all the fixings for taco's - She made it up and I have to say it was good - the texture was more like a bean burrito but the flavor was good and it was much less expensive and better for us! OH and even my picky 11yr ate them so WINNER! 

PS the food is not near my feet --- for my friend JV LOL

 

Day 327 - chillen with Birthday Feet

Today is my babies girl's birthday - she turned 11 - well tonight after dinner out at the Chinese buffet and then Cold Stone Ice Cream we came home to chill and watch a goofy comedian -- but first we changed in to our comfy pants and started chillen - 

Day 326 - chillen and Tiny Wine

Tonight I got home again around 8:30 pm and we bought a pre-made salad from a local store that we love and we bought two of those small bottle of wine to go with it - I got a Mashito it was a nice semi-sweet wine. These little bottles are about one glass full and cost $1 - so they are good but not really for a wine lovers - but good enough for me :)

Day 325 - Chillen and New Afghan

Today I left home at 930am and we just pulled in at 8:40 pm - yep a long day but you know when your alive and not dealing with cancer a long day is an AWESOME day - and that is what this chillen blog has been all about remembering to take time to enjoy the simple things in life - Tonight I am chillen with my wife's newest Afghan - it is not done yet but the colors are very cool and I am not sure if this is a gift or a keeper but either way this is what chillen is about taking time to pause and enjoy the little things around you!

Day 324 - Chillen and tree carving

Today we took a nice long walk to town and there is a tree that some one allowed an artist to carve on the main road in our town - WELL - It may be the person that lives there I dont really know - but it is a really cool carving --- I addd the close up and the phone number if you live in MI and are interested :)

Day 323 - chillen with the Cat in a Hat

Tonight my daughter took a dog hat and thought it was a good idea to put it on my sons cat Kipper - he is, well, the cat that you can do anything with for a few minutes or longer depending on the activity - so I could not pass up the chance to chill with The cat in the Hat.

Day 322 - chillen and tiny hat

Well today's chillen picture is with tiny A's hat - I think it is for a dog but it was token of appreciation from someone - I am not sure what to do with it seeing as we don't have a dog and if I did it would be a lot bigger than this hat would fit -- LOL -- maybe I will give it to my mother-in-law she has a football shaped tiny dog can be seen in one of the early chillen post :)

Day 321 - Chillen and Snoopy

You know there are somethings that are ageless and Snoopy is one of those things ---- Well all the Charlie Brown gang are ageless but Snoopy is the real thing when it come to fun and truly understanding what a full time chillen life is all about - fun, eating, and just living --- can got wrong with that ---
