Day 179 - Chillen and snow Blow

Well today I got to test me snow blower after replacing the belt - and It worked! Ok I have to to be honest I had no idea how to install the belt I mean I got the basic concept and got it on in part but it just did not look right - so I go next door get my neighbor who is a construction guy so I figure he will know but we were looking at it and both adults were stumped - Thank God for teenagers -- his son says dad I think it goes like this and this - and sure enough it worked! This is good thing because it snowed this week and I got to use it so here is my chillen post Snow blow :)

Day 178 - Chillen with an Angel

Tonight I have been working for hours on listing stuff on EBAY  (if you need stuff follow link LOL) so I was sitting at the desk feet propped up chillen and looked down and saw the little angel looking at me over my feet and of course I had to add it to my chillen collection :) SO here is our little glass angel to help remind you that Chillen is next to Godliness (well maybe next good thing to do!!! )

Day 177 - Chillen with everything & the kitchen sink

Today was been a day that chillen was on the back of my mind all day - All I wanted to do is kick back and chill because the stress was high and the problems came fast and hard -- However things have to be accomplished and so working is what I did -- then a couple of hours hunting at end of the day, home for supper, run lights to the float decoration group at church - then home to take  my chillen pic in the garage with a pile of stuff that is there and for one of the few times I have the Kitchen sink there too LOL -- Stay chilled you all --

 

Day 176 - Chillen & Non-Naked Tree

Ok well lets make this one simple - Last night I posted my naked tree and it has tied for the all time most viewed chillen pic I have done so far!! I don't know if it was the word naked or what that triggered the views but I thought I had better follow up with the dressed tree  LOL -- Stay chilled you all --

Day 175 - Chillen and x-mass Lights

Today I am chillen with the First night of the lighting of the 2011 Russell light decorations...  Well we have a few more things to put up but this is a 95% of the stuff - LOL crappy picture but again it is just a reminder to always take time to relax and enjoy the DAY!!!

Day 174 - Chillen & a Naked Tree

Well Thanksgiving is done and NOW the Christmas season is under way- I do not have a problem with the fun stuff like decorations, and snow - BUT I HATE HATE TOTALLY LOATH the commercialism of the season - None the less -  My wife anf daughter put up tree tonight with no decorations so she could train the cats not to climb it first - All is going good but I still say once the sparkly and dangle things get on the tree the cats will attack - lol --

Day 173 - CHillen and Thanksgiving Tradition

Well it is Thanksgiving 2011 - #39 for me :) -- I always thought that I would have a hard time getting older but the funny part is that after you go through cancer - every year you can say your here, every holiday and every day is Thanksgiving day -  Today's pic pre-meal but has been a tradition watching football (sorry Lion fans) on Thanksgiving... Day 172 - Chillen with veggie tails

Today I worked then went hunting -- That is about the whole of the day --- no big deal of any kind  good or bad so that is it -- I got home and sit down and me and my little girl that clearly stated that "I am not little I am taller than mom!" Lol -

day 171 - chillen @ Parent teacher confrence

Today was nothing short of an odd day - things went well overly smooth. I suppose life has been mostly up hill fights and challenges over my life so when things go "right" and multiple things do that on the same day I tend to be a tad nervous -  I am not quite paranoid but I would say maybe not that far from it LOL -- ANYHOW- I went to my daughters 5th grade PTC and it was an over all good report! I have to brag a second on my kids - I have been blessed with intelligent and very well behaved kids - so going to PTC's are not dreadful things :) so here I am waiting in tiny little chairs for my turn to see the teacher- reminds me of waiting to see the principal in high school (but that is only what I have heard ;) ----

Day 170 - Chillen and Strumming

Well today was less then relaxing but in the scheme of life and when compared to all the other issues that we have faced today was a minor inconveniences :) so tonight I sat down in our new basement sitting area and did a little strumming on the cheap electric guitar we have - NO - I do not know how to play it is just a fun thing I play around with... :) stay chilled you all -- :)

Day 169 - Chillen with cheap coffee

Today we got up and hit the ground running on house cleaning - We attacked our basement and that was no simple task to say the least. We packed and restacked all our IMPORTANT stuff that lives in the basement in boxes that we need to keep for some reason LOL - Well - it is all pretty and actually we created a nice little sitting area with a lamp kind of a basement getaway :) - Then me daughter and I had to run around and we grabbed some daddy daughter lunch :) Then off to the last two hours of deer hunting with son (nope seen nothing) temp dropped while in woods so on the way home we stopped and grabbed this yummy cheap gas station coffee but it was hot and hit the spot - the pic is finally sitting at home chillen in my chillen pants :) 

  

Day 168 - Split Chillen

Today's pic is a half me and half my son chillen is our deer blind - We had just bought this pop up deer blind to make it easier for my son to set and hunt - He has a hard time with holding still and this blind makes it better for him - NO - we did not see any deer but it was a lot of fun chillen in the blind and dreaming of the deer that are not there. Time together = Priceless

Day 167 - Chillen with hungry Kittens

I have had many brain farts over the last tow days - every-time I am hanging out with my author friend I go blank on taking a chillen pic because we are laughing so much --- SO after getting home at 10:20pm the rescue kittens were more than hungry and I thought it would be a cute chillen pic for sure -- look for Sunday chillen to be with my writer friend.

Day 166 - Chillen with Snow feeder & (goof up)

Today I am chillen with our cute little winter snowman birdfeeder - he is only out during the late fall and winter - I told my wife that all she has to do is put a tine bikini and sunglasses on it for the summer but she has not yet taken to my idea - 

OK - I did goof up on today's chillen pic - I was going to chill with a a guest author I had coffee with this morning but we got into such fun conversation I blanked --- SO -- Tune in later tomorrow I will have this pic and more on his New book coming out next week! 

Here is a short question - How long does it take before you call someone a friend? In this world friend has such a odd meaing any more FB friends and Circle friends etc.. but can you say they are REAL friends I don't know but in real physical life the question I have to you is :  How long does it take before you call someone a friend?

Day 165 - Just chillen -

I do try to be creative with the chillen pic for those that may watch or look at this blog but at the end of a LONG day - today was just a good no thinking involved chillen night - :) --- SO that is was I am doing messing around on the computer for a few more minutes then I am going to go read or something totally chillen :)

I will say this if you smoke it is your choice but i still for the life of me DO not understand how you can enjoy the smell that come with it -- I was around it for 2 hrs today and I am OMG addiction is BAD thing for the senses - LOL

Day 164 - Chillen On opening day

I will not go in to the ideals or pros/cons of hunting but I have been doing this for many years. In fact after deducting my time in college and living in a big city - this deer hunting season is my 14th - and not one deer has been harmed in all 14 yrs -- That is right I have never gotten a deer in three stated, MI, MO and VT - I don't know why I do the right things but I just think God hates me hunting but like a good human I keep on going LOL - In fact one time i added up the cost of all this hunting and figured out I could have bought a new Bass Boat with all the $ I have spent and I can catch bass!

 I think it is about the joy of the woods and the peace I feel when I am away from people and noise - like the commercial says - PRICELESS - so here I am again on opening day and once again all deer are just fine in fact did not even see one - I did add a pic that I got to see at sunrise :)

Day 163 - Chillen in the Holiday Mall

I have learned that everyday is a special day even on the day you like to crawl back in bed and hide away!  Today was not one of them days in fact it was a very bland day really - but the odd thing is I have also learned that a bland day is a good thing - see no bad thing or no good thing happens that means over all it was a good day for it only takes a small BAD thing to screw up a day. This afternoon I had some time to kill between appointments so me being a people person stopped by the mall. YES I STILL HAVE MY MAN CARD!

The mall is all X-massfied (I don't associate Christmas with money driven decorated stores that is why I use X-Mass) The music was playing all the lights were twinkeling and all the stores were all holidaied up. As I walked through the mall I noticed one thing - ALL THE STORES LOOKED ALIKE - it was kinda surreal - It was like each store was their own but yet the same - clothes were not that different even the colors were simular - the decorations were all the same and they all had HUGE HUGE HUGE SALESSSSS ---

I did not see anyone smiling, I did not hear any happy workers - did hear a few dreading BLACK FRIDAY (I remember those days in retail (shiver) )

I do not condemn stores for their greed it is human nature and the nature of business - I do not protest the exploration of the holiday season for it is the individual that must chose to be exploited. - I sat in this little area and chilled with the fake trees and realized this year the human exploitation is not bothering me as much - maybe today I just was happy to be here to see life going on! 

Have a chillen holiday/Christmas/x-mass -- Whatever it is you want to have just be happy this year to be here.

Day 162 - Chillen with Lions

Simple day - Church - hunting land scouting, eat some Lunch, watch some Football, and Chillen - --- 

What a country I get to LIVE IN and HOW awesome is this Life I get to LIVE :) 

Day 161 - Chillen On Wii 2

Today was a wonderful 50 degree day in MI - Sun was shinning and the day was full of pointless endeavors which made it over all a GOOD DAY - Tonight I got out the smoker and used some apple wood chips - put on a dry rub over some Ribs and smoked them -- This was for my Mother-in-laws BD - then we all had a couple of rounds of Bowling on the Wii -- in the pic you will see my feet one of my little girls feet and my wife - don't tell her that I took the pic with her in it LOL --

Day 160 - Chillen and Trout

Today I was off so my wife and I just hung out and hopped about town doing this and that - What we discovered was that we and have no friends that are our age that do not have little kids! We are going to be the  only ones that can go out and chill do to our smart planning of children early in life - My little gril will be on college before I am 50 - I think when we drop her off to college I will have tickets to Disney Land for me and my wife (note the one in CA not FL)  LOL --- Anyway the trout has nothing to do with the day other than my wife made this for me and I thinks this is very cool!

Day 159 - Chillen in 1st snow

Ok was just a day to get things done that had to be done for work - then I got home and all of a sudden there was a snow squall the put snow/ice pellets on the back deck and I quick hoped out there to CHILL for real LOL --- WEll until day 160 -- stay chilled everyone---

Day 158 - Chillen @ the Library

Today was much better day - No major traumas or issues -- nothing but the normally abnormal world in which I work in - Hurt kids, hurt adults, and messed up systems trying to help them. Just another day in the world of ME in between client I stopped at the Mt. Morris Library and did some computer things and took a picture in the psychological section good as place as any to take a chill -

Day 157 - Chillen with PRAYER!

Today has been a day that -- prior to having a Dr look you in the eye and tell you that you have cancer, which happened 2.3yrs ago to me - This day would have been a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale - HOWEVER since having a real 2 day this day only rates a 4.5 on bad day scale - OK here it goes -

8:45am - working on computer at home and cat jumps up on back all 4 paws and claws dig in - I jump up spilling whole cup of coffee on laptop - IT GOES BOOM - chair flip knock down bird cage which knocks over cat food and full cup of juice on full basket of clean folded cloths --

10am - start feeling like a milk shake machine with chills and massive headache - have to call in sick :(

12:pm - get call son needs to be picked up at school having issues - :(

3pm - chills gone son ok - head off to hunt just to get away -- NO deer and land owner asks not to hunt on weekend due to family coming in and has given permission to other hunter for gun season - no hunting there until Dec. :(

7:30 pm - get done with supper and learn the the cat that is not using litter box is my Favrite one :(

OK find the positive - I won $10 on a scratch of lotto ticket and sold an item on Ebay for more then expected and ------ OH YEAH I AM STILL CANCER FREE -- all in all not a BAD day but still chillen pic fits for today :)

Day 156 - chillen with Phineas and Ferb

Nothing really to blog about today I just worked and went hunting with my son - once I got home I chilled with my little girl and Phineas & Ferb cartoons - I do love the the goofiness of the cartoon - Where is Perry? LOL --

Day 155 - Chillen on the ROOF

Today is Nov 6th in Michigan and it is 65 degrees - THIS FEELS WRONG - LOL -- however this morning we had the extra sleeping time thanks to day light saving time and I used it WELL -- I woke up made some breakfast for the family and then some yummy Doughnut Muffins filled with jelly - then got the kid out mucling the leaves, got the yard cleaned up and  then I DON"T KNOW WHY -- I put up our Christmas lights!! I did more today then I have ever put up! I even borrowed a ladder and climbed up on roof and put up lights! well at least it is ready for the holiday season- I took the main chillen pick and it is the one on the top of the roof - but I added a fun one just because I can :)

Day 154 - Chillen With Cars 2

Well today I got to go bow hunting twice and twice the deer saw me before I saw them and they loped away - LOL -- I think I should stick to Wii hunting - but then I would miss the stars and sunrise in the morning and the sunset at night not to mention the quite and being away from people -- which is the main reason I go hunting anyway. We also had my car fixed there goes $150 only to find out that it still need another part -- SO I decied that I needed to do something fun so I rented CARS -2 for the family to chill and just relax --

Day 153 - Chillen at Cake Walk -

Today I have been working with families and had to get my kids early because of a bomb threat to the school's in our area - No bomb but I rather be safe than sorry- I got go bow hunting tonight and saw turkeys to far away to shoot and one nice buck that sneaked up behind me and there was no way to get a shot -- oh well --- I got home and then I got to take my little girl and a friend to the fall Festival at her school - So while the kids did the cake walk I too time to chill with one of the squares - Long day lots of fun and off to hunt in the AM :)

Day 152 - Chillen with TAPES???

I bought an old school 1980's duel cassette player at goodwill the other day for like $3.00 - I hooked it up today to try out some old tapes I bought -I was listening to Ray Stevens country comedy man - and My 13 son was like how does this thing work? How do I play this thing? How do we play the other side? How do you skip to the next song? (me - U don't) LOLOLLOL

He was all into the NEW - OLD school technology and loved the old school Comedy tape -- I know how cool were were back in the day LOL--- The funny thing is I had to take a minute to access how to play the right side and all - very buried memories but had some good smiles once the dust blew off --

Day 151 - Chillen @ Sons Football Dinner

Well today I took my 7th grade son to his end of year football dinner - it was a combo with the 8th grade and a pot luck type of dinner with the school providing pizza - I know real classy LOL -- any way his couch said that my son reminded him of the Blind Side - in that he is a first year player that likes to hit and throw players to the ground and he has a ton of raw talent! (yep proud dad) 

I will say that I have often wondered what a plague of locust feeding looked like feeding as they devoured everything in sight - Well once they let the parents to through the line that released about 50 - 7 & 8th grade boys loose on a buffet of food - I wonder no longer just crumbs and healthy food left untouched LOL --

Day 150 - chillen with Leftovers

Well today I helped work on a church building project - then off to post office to ship some Ebay stuff one went to Switzerland HOW COOL - then I off to work -- got home 7:30 eat supper and chill - I looked at the left over Smarties from last night invasion of the costumed beggars LOL  - We had over 8lbs of these candies and only about 20 leftover - which is good that there were a lot of kids but these are my FAV candy :((( oh well just have to steal from my kids haul LOL
