Day 210 - Chillen with a screen

Well today was 4 hours of driving home from my moms then stop for lunch for my sons birthday lunch at Tony's in Burch Run - I like this place for two reasons for my sons party - 1- they feed him a large amount of food and 2 - they feed him a large amount of food :)!!! -  Tonight after I got home and we chilled out with movies and  I did some computer stuff - so here I am chillen with the screen -  Happy New Years EVE

Day 209 - Chillen in coffee shop in Cadillac

Ok I did not miss a day! I took the picture last night while I was in Cadillac my wife and I went to the Shay Coffee house which make a fantastic Latte and have a very nice selection of micro-brews (as in pic) ! -- it is odd sitting in the town you grew up in looking at faces and having partial recognition or think you do - but I doubt I would recognize anyone now - My class are all pushing or pushed past 40 so time is not our friend!! :) well Will be posting on time tonight happy new years eve :)

Day 208 - chillen @ cold stone

I had never been an ice cream fan growing up, however that changed when I moved to Florida and found Cold Stone Creamery. This stuff is more like ice cream on crack. Thus, I am now addicted. However, like most addictions, the cost is too high to support my habit too often, so I get to enjoy occasional hits such as in today's chilling pic.

Day 207 - Chillen Chipmunks

Today was another FINE day to enjoy living - got up had bacon and egg home made :) - went to see Sherlock Holmes -5 stars all the way --- then on the way out we had to chill with the chipmunks LOL---
then little shopping then home for diner and more movies - Jeff Dunham LOL funny then Sense and Sensibilities  another 5 star movie - yes i know it is a chick flick but well acted and good dialog  SO THERE -- and no off to watch Father of the Bride :)  stay chilled ---  oh the old guy feet yester day was my Dad in law LOL don't say i called him old LOL

Day 206 - Chillen on Snow-walk

Today was the first real vaction day no real plans :) -- So got up and it was snowing and we were happy - we got up went out and a pastry at a new bakery in Fenton - it was OK I love pastries so I am a harsh judge on them - these were OK - better then gas station but not BAKERY level - then off to Goodwill wo wonder - bought a few Ebay things then home - We ended up cleaning up the house and putting away Christmas tree and stuff - After lunch it was such a wonderful snow fall we decided to walk into town for a coffee - IT WAS A WONDERFUL WALK IN A WINTER WONDER LAND - then Took chillen pic on the local gazebo looking at the libary and river :) goooood day -- OH yeah below is another GUEST chillen in Christmas slippers :) yesterday was my mommy in-law :)

Day 205 - Chillen day after With GUEST

Well today was the post Christmas lets start getting back to regular life (YAWN) function- I drove my mother home which sad in part I love my mom but Happy in part that she has my kids for a few days but that to is sad in part because I love my kids -- oh the back and forth of human emotions.. I also love having time with the wife alone OHHHHhhhh the pain LOL -- anyway tonight we joined my in-laws and sister and Brother in-Law for dinner at Famous Dave's BBQ - ok I LOVE BBQ I have enjoyed BBQ in many states and I know GOOD BBQ -- this was mediocre at best  2/5 stars -- slow service, HAIR in my foor which I barely got sorry for and just not good quality meat for a rather high price... I won't be spending my $ there again -- but company was fine! so here I am outside of the place chillen but blurry sign but that is ok I don't think they want my advertisement support LOL -- ALSO a guest chillen feet pic :) any guesses :))))

Day 202 -chillen with a FAN

Well we all want to have fans but in this case I think it is the fan that is the start - today I am chillen in bed because the ICK has tried to grab on to me - I have and AM fighting it off!! I will not BE CONQURED -- I took my kids out Chrsitmas shopping today and we finsihed that crazy mess all up - By the way on Christmas eve, eve - the stores are ummm NUTTTTSSS and when your not feeling well it is like running a gauntlet LOL -- any in bed chillen with a fan -- Thank you God for my own bed - such a blessing!

Day 201 - Chillen & movies

Well when you have a house full of sick people and yourself is not feeling 100% you do what we did - we watched movies -- Smurfs was 3 out of 5 - good for kids not as bad as I thought it was going to be - and we watched Kung-Fu Panda 2 this was a good sequel 4 of out of 5 good for the whole family :) - that is the the picture - PO AKA Jack Black - is a fun lovable super hero that is goofy fun ---

Day 200 - Chillen and Caring

Well on day 200 of this chillen journey my son passed his flu to my wife and I have been caring and helping her all evening as she moves from bed to bathroom :( - it is rainy and 48 degrees in Mi on Dec. 21  - THIS is wrong as well -- sooo over all day 200 for me has been chillen in or around bed all day in the AM because I have not felt 100% and this evening caring for my wife -- so not a top ten day but as I have said before this is just another GOOD day to be here and cancer free!!  -- take care until 201 ---

Day 199 - Chillen and skim

Today has been one of the wonderful non-eventful days - See in a life that has had VERY bad days where Dr's have say VERY bad things - non eventful days are VERY VERY WONDERFUL - I still have a job, We still have a house, we have food, and a car -- so I am thankful for non-eventful days -- So is today's chillen pic - it is a fun box we had in house that had Mozzarella cheese in it and the important part according to the box is PART SKIM -- LOL --- I drink skim milk and eat mozzarella cheese so I thought good fit LOL

Day 198 - Chillen & Bragging on my BD Boy

I have a 14 yr old SON!!!!! yep that is what I have so here is what I think -- He has made honor roll three time in a row in middle school - He plays trombone in the band and in the Jazz band - He was an awesome linebacker on his 6-0 football team - HE has never been in trouble at school and only minor growing up issues at home - He is my hunting, fishing, and golfing buddy!!! SO I have a 14 yr old son and LET ME TELL YOU I THINK HE IS AWESOME!!! -- Yep I am proud of him!

Day 197 - Chillen @ party #2

Well today was the one time of year that the we have Christmas parties all day - We had my wife family party which had 50 people ages 1 - 80(ish) this was a fun day - it lasted about 5 hours - then we headed over to the little church group that we belong to Christmas party - there was about 30(ish) there between the leaders 2 groups 0 it was fun and we found out the leaders of this group both the Chris and Jody are not only fun, and he is a published author but THEY BOTH can sing like professionals -- I think they need to go on Americas Got Talent LOL -- any be chilled -

Day 196 0 Chillen and WrappN

Today we drove north to Cadillac and pick up my mom for a week visit for Christmas :) then we got home did some shopping and then got to wrappN - gifts for my wifes family's some real ones some well lets say funny ones -- Well off to watch a streamed version of the NFL game that I don't get because we do not have cable but thanks to SUPER Geeks I can get any game on streaming internet :) stay chilled ---

day 195 - chillen and Snowman

Holidays are interesting and some of the decorations never fail to amaze me - this snowman is a homemade lighted up -well supposed to light up and maybe it will soon - SO simple chillen and relaxing with family --

Day 194 - Chillen with Charlie Brown

Well today was a good day nothing bad happened to me, my family or my car SO it was a good day - tonight we had pizza with the in-laws and then we played a board game and watched A Charlie Brown Christmas - Charlie Brown is the most twisted show ever mean, aggressive, and the main character is low-self esteem and bulled by a girl -- but I love it because it fits the world I work in and in the end they are all friends of sorts PLUS the have the best meaning of Christmas explanation (in my opinion) -- :)

Day 193 - Chillen and Kipper Kitty

Nothing to really say today -- I worked and got home and worked and ate and then off to my sons winter band concert :) --- I am so very happy to here and healthy to see his growing up :)

I got home and Kipper kitty fell at my feet - I am not sure what is wrong with this cat but it just stops and tips over sideways and falls -- it is rather funny to watch but what is even funnier is the fact that one of the little cats have been doing the same thing - I wonder is flopper is cat type---

Day 192 - Chillen with Jerk

you know this morning I am on the way to the GYM and window is cracked and that cost $45 to fix - Tomorrow another $50 for front end alignment - last week $70 for two used tires and insurance company lowered our benefits because they forgot to tell us something so all my follow up testing has to be held off until April- and the month prior $400 for other repairs - people close to us are having hard time with work issues and and and - SIGH --- wife says WHY do all these thing pile up around Christmas it just seems like.. STOP I SAY to  HER -- simple reminder that --

If one is alive and well enough to keep trying then all these things are just minor inconveniences - yes stressful at times in comparison to things we had to fight through 3 Christmases ago (being told I had cancer and treatments) these things are not ALL that bad :)

SO here today after another long day -- I eat supper and chilled with some home made Venison Jerky - no I did not get the deer - but it was a good way to chill after supper none the less...

Day 191 - Chillen with a Blur

Well last night I only got about 2 hours sleep so today I drug myself through the day -- AND I only had 3 cups of coffee! SO by the time I was done with clients and did some HONEY stop at store and get __ shopping I got home about 7pm - My wonderful wife had a yummy super made and we sat down as a family and ate! -- after supper was/am to tired to be to creative so I just kicked back after supper and chilled - I tried to get my wife in it but all I got was me chillen and her looking like a blur but that is ok it represented how I feel mentally tonight -- I am slower then the rest of the world and you know what it is OK!!! Stay chilled --

Day 190 - Chillen with Dianna clause

Today we lazed around in the morning then went out and did some last minute Christmas shopping -- then home to watch some football -- I should have doen a lot of things but I did not -- I needed to chill today - sometime during the afternoon my daughter found a Santa suite in the basement and came up looking all Santified --- LOL -- I knew it was the chillen pic of the day!!!



Day 189 - Chillen in Fankenmuth

Well we made a HUGE goof up today -- NEVER NEVER EVER go to Fankenmuth Mi on a Saturday in the month of December - there are something like 100,000 people in this little tourist trap town... Plus to top that off we went to Bronners Christmas Store - This is a fun and very cool place!!! We started two years ago with a new family tradition of going there and each buying a new ornament for out tree - after I went through cancer surgery and had started treatment - This is the third Christmas since life changed -- still cancer free and still VERY thankful to God for that - I hope I can add 40 more ornaments to our family tree :) ---

Anyway - I have never been in a store or anyplace like this one today - you had to move around in the store like cars on the highway you had to merge and put hands out to get in the flow of people - and let others take turns walking into line - I had to get across the store to get the var and I thought I was in a human moving maze -- NUTS ---

Well here is my chillen pic (though I did get a tad stressed in this chillen day lol)  near the locally famous fried chicken place Zehnders - I have never had the chicken there cost to much for us right now but I hear it is yummy - Glad to be home really chillen now!! -

Day 188 - Chillen @ Jazz Lounge

Well today my office out on a holiday/Christmas party and it went very well -- but after it was done it was nice to come home pick up my wife and go out to the Winery - it is a local wine/micro-brewery lounge - It has live music on Saturday night and you can get 4 wine sampler and sampler of their micro-brews I prefer ales and stouts - they have very good spinach cheesy dip  -- tonight they had a jazz singer and she was not bad -- so here I am really chillen and sooo needed after a loooonnnnggg week :)

Day 187 - Chillen with Blessings

Today was so nice all I did was a bunch of paper work and then went out to lunch with my wife -- VERY nice--- Tonight the family all bagged up around 100 loaves of bread/buns to give to needy families at the Flint Easter Seals office consumer party tomorrow - The little church we go to and I do mean little like 12 of us donated this plus 60 pairs of NEW gloves, 100 little Debbie cakes and 2 big bags of Snicker bites -- I know that these items will be a blessing to these families and the kids will appreciate the treats -- I love DOING the things that my faith commands us to do and that is show love and bless those with less than we have! So thank you Horizon church and if you belong to a church or group bigger than 12 which most are I encourage you to do even more than this -- Go in to all the world and -- Love and Bless those you cone into contact with ---

Day 186 - chillen @ pizza hut

All I can say is that --- day is done and we just did not have time to cook so I took wife and kids and we hit the HUT - 1 large supreme and one bacon, ham and sausage stuff crust -- not the best use of money nor is it the best thing to eat but after 39 hours of work in 3 days -- it worked just fine -

Day 185 - Chillen with shipping

Well I started today at 6:30 left home at 7:15am got home at 8pm --- so today was a long day -- I never knew that being a therapist would require 13 hr days --- but here I am working them - I am not complaining in an age where many do not have Jobs I am thankful but a tad tired -- :) -- When I got home I watched a tv show on Netflix with the kids then to the basement to work my second money stream (sounds so much better then second job LOL) that of Ebayer is not that hard but it takes work - so here I am chillen with boxes heading all across the country and even across the northern boarder -- I do like to see where things go!

Day 184 - chillen and CPR

Well today I got to sit in a full day of CPR and First Aid training - I have been through this many times before so this was like the 10th time so there was not much new to me - I mean you can only breath and compress dummy so many times before you remember how to do it - so I got to chill during the testing -- So if any of you have an issue I can breath and compress and bandage you up until TRAINED help arrives..

Day 183 - chillen and Vernors -

So today we went to church in the morning then we came home to get a few things done then run out to do some stuff - HOWEVER today the battery in my car decided it wanted to die -- well thanks to a friend i took it down to a battery store and $100 later I had our car on the road again -- that little repair bring the total to around $500 in the last three months (sigh) well it is a good car so it is much better than 1500 that shops would charge -- after the fix we ran the errands and and did some grocery shopping where I splurged and bought a Vernors soft drink - I don't drink much of this since cancer -  this is a MI original soft drink creation if you have not had it you just don't know what your missing --

Day 182 - chillen on and a float

Ok - todays picture was a a little dark but here is the details - we have been going to a little church  group that wanted to be in the local Christmas parade - So we put together a little float in which my daughter played Mary and the pastors son played Joesph - (he better not get any ideas LOL) so in the pic I am sitting on the edge of the trailer looking back at the kids and the singer -- we had lights and angels it was a lot of fun :)))

Day 181 - Chillen with Kefir

Today I got to do a presentation to a bunch of teachers that I enjoyed then I met with a client - Then I got home took my son to a band party then off to dinner with my wife and daughter - :) it was a good day - HOWEVER - I had KFC for lunch which was a TAD greasy then tonight I chose to eat deep fried smelt - unfortunately these too were greasy sooo stomach was not real happy about my day - I got home and got a big glass of Kefir  - ahh much better - Kefir is 100% better than pepto - This stuff is the BEST stuff ever if you have any kind of stomach problems - HOWEVER - I will let you read about it with the link instead of preach the good qualities of it -- I will say it WORKS --- so I had to give it a place on my chillen list today because it really made chillen feel much better :)

PS Kefir has a ton of cancer fighting probiotics :)))

Day 180 - chillen in sound

Today I hit the ground running and did not stop until I was helping sit up the sound for our Sunday morning service that the little church is putting on this week -- I was sitting there listening to the group sing and practice and realized that i was not really paying attention to the system and was just chillen -- so here it is my chillen pic for today!

Day 179 - Chillen and snow Blow

Well today I got to test me snow blower after replacing the belt - and It worked! Ok I have to to be honest I had no idea how to install the belt I mean I got the basic concept and got it on in part but it just did not look right - so I go next door get my neighbor who is a construction guy so I figure he will know but we were looking at it and both adults were stumped - Thank God for teenagers -- his son says dad I think it goes like this and this - and sure enough it worked! This is good thing because it snowed this week and I got to use it so here is my chillen post Snow blow :)

Day 178 - Chillen with an Angel

Tonight I have been working for hours on listing stuff on EBAY  (if you need stuff follow link LOL) so I was sitting at the desk feet propped up chillen and looked down and saw the little angel looking at me over my feet and of course I had to add it to my chillen collection :) SO here is our little glass angel to help remind you that Chillen is next to Godliness (well maybe next good thing to do!!! )

Day 177 - Chillen with everything & the kitchen sink

Today was been a day that chillen was on the back of my mind all day - All I wanted to do is kick back and chill because the stress was high and the problems came fast and hard -- However things have to be accomplished and so working is what I did -- then a couple of hours hunting at end of the day, home for supper, run lights to the float decoration group at church - then home to take  my chillen pic in the garage with a pile of stuff that is there and for one of the few times I have the Kitchen sink there too LOL -- Stay chilled you all --

 

Day 176 - Chillen & Non-Naked Tree

Ok well lets make this one simple - Last night I posted my naked tree and it has tied for the all time most viewed chillen pic I have done so far!! I don't know if it was the word naked or what that triggered the views but I thought I had better follow up with the dressed tree  LOL -- Stay chilled you all --

Day 175 - Chillen and x-mass Lights

Today I am chillen with the First night of the lighting of the 2011 Russell light decorations...  Well we have a few more things to put up but this is a 95% of the stuff - LOL crappy picture but again it is just a reminder to always take time to relax and enjoy the DAY!!!

Day 174 - Chillen & a Naked Tree

Well Thanksgiving is done and NOW the Christmas season is under way- I do not have a problem with the fun stuff like decorations, and snow - BUT I HATE HATE TOTALLY LOATH the commercialism of the season - None the less -  My wife anf daughter put up tree tonight with no decorations so she could train the cats not to climb it first - All is going good but I still say once the sparkly and dangle things get on the tree the cats will attack - lol --

Day 173 - CHillen and Thanksgiving Tradition

Well it is Thanksgiving 2011 - #39 for me :) -- I always thought that I would have a hard time getting older but the funny part is that after you go through cancer - every year you can say your here, every holiday and every day is Thanksgiving day -  Today's pic pre-meal but has been a tradition watching football (sorry Lion fans) on Thanksgiving... Day 172 - Chillen with veggie tails

Today I worked then went hunting -- That is about the whole of the day --- no big deal of any kind  good or bad so that is it -- I got home and sit down and me and my little girl that clearly stated that "I am not little I am taller than mom!" Lol -

day 171 - chillen @ Parent teacher confrence

Today was nothing short of an odd day - things went well overly smooth. I suppose life has been mostly up hill fights and challenges over my life so when things go "right" and multiple things do that on the same day I tend to be a tad nervous -  I am not quite paranoid but I would say maybe not that far from it LOL -- ANYHOW- I went to my daughters 5th grade PTC and it was an over all good report! I have to brag a second on my kids - I have been blessed with intelligent and very well behaved kids - so going to PTC's are not dreadful things :) so here I am waiting in tiny little chairs for my turn to see the teacher- reminds me of waiting to see the principal in high school (but that is only what I have heard ;) ----

Day 170 - Chillen and Strumming

Well today was less then relaxing but in the scheme of life and when compared to all the other issues that we have faced today was a minor inconveniences :) so tonight I sat down in our new basement sitting area and did a little strumming on the cheap electric guitar we have - NO - I do not know how to play it is just a fun thing I play around with... :) stay chilled you all -- :)

Day 169 - Chillen with cheap coffee

Today we got up and hit the ground running on house cleaning - We attacked our basement and that was no simple task to say the least. We packed and restacked all our IMPORTANT stuff that lives in the basement in boxes that we need to keep for some reason LOL - Well - it is all pretty and actually we created a nice little sitting area with a lamp kind of a basement getaway :) - Then me daughter and I had to run around and we grabbed some daddy daughter lunch :) Then off to the last two hours of deer hunting with son (nope seen nothing) temp dropped while in woods so on the way home we stopped and grabbed this yummy cheap gas station coffee but it was hot and hit the spot - the pic is finally sitting at home chillen in my chillen pants :) 

  

Day 168 - Split Chillen

Today's pic is a half me and half my son chillen is our deer blind - We had just bought this pop up deer blind to make it easier for my son to set and hunt - He has a hard time with holding still and this blind makes it better for him - NO - we did not see any deer but it was a lot of fun chillen in the blind and dreaming of the deer that are not there. Time together = Priceless

Day 167 - Chillen with hungry Kittens

I have had many brain farts over the last tow days - every-time I am hanging out with my author friend I go blank on taking a chillen pic because we are laughing so much --- SO after getting home at 10:20pm the rescue kittens were more than hungry and I thought it would be a cute chillen pic for sure -- look for Sunday chillen to be with my writer friend.

Day 166 - Chillen with Snow feeder & (goof up)

Today I am chillen with our cute little winter snowman birdfeeder - he is only out during the late fall and winter - I told my wife that all she has to do is put a tine bikini and sunglasses on it for the summer but she has not yet taken to my idea - 

OK - I did goof up on today's chillen pic - I was going to chill with a a guest author I had coffee with this morning but we got into such fun conversation I blanked --- SO -- Tune in later tomorrow I will have this pic and more on his New book coming out next week! 

Here is a short question - How long does it take before you call someone a friend? In this world friend has such a odd meaing any more FB friends and Circle friends etc.. but can you say they are REAL friends I don't know but in real physical life the question I have to you is :  How long does it take before you call someone a friend?

Day 165 - Just chillen -

I do try to be creative with the chillen pic for those that may watch or look at this blog but at the end of a LONG day - today was just a good no thinking involved chillen night - :) --- SO that is was I am doing messing around on the computer for a few more minutes then I am going to go read or something totally chillen :)

I will say this if you smoke it is your choice but i still for the life of me DO not understand how you can enjoy the smell that come with it -- I was around it for 2 hrs today and I am OMG addiction is BAD thing for the senses - LOL

Day 164 - Chillen On opening day

I will not go in to the ideals or pros/cons of hunting but I have been doing this for many years. In fact after deducting my time in college and living in a big city - this deer hunting season is my 14th - and not one deer has been harmed in all 14 yrs -- That is right I have never gotten a deer in three stated, MI, MO and VT - I don't know why I do the right things but I just think God hates me hunting but like a good human I keep on going LOL - In fact one time i added up the cost of all this hunting and figured out I could have bought a new Bass Boat with all the $ I have spent and I can catch bass!

 I think it is about the joy of the woods and the peace I feel when I am away from people and noise - like the commercial says - PRICELESS - so here I am again on opening day and once again all deer are just fine in fact did not even see one - I did add a pic that I got to see at sunrise :)
